Swedish PLS AFO

The Swedish Posterior Leaf Spring (PLS) Ankle/Foot Orthosis is a Polyethylene splint, which provides static dorsiflexion assistance and lateral stability for unstable or flaccid ankles.  The open heel, the low arch and the design of the calf portion limits heel ulcers or general skin breakdown and allows it to be worn comfortably in any type of footwear.  The vertical aspect or calf portion of the Swedish AFO is thicker for rigidity, and padded for patient comfort. The foot plate is extended, and can be trimmed and heat molded for a more customized fit.  Although lightweight at 3.5 oz., the corrugated design is sturdy and provides excellent stability.
